Preface
Reading Area Community College (RACC) and lmmaculata University (lmmaculata) enter into this Dual Admissions Transfer Agreement (Agreement) to facilitate the transfer of RACC students to lmmaculata's Baccalaureate Degree Programs. This Agreement applies to students who enter lmmaculata as full-time or part-time undergraduate students.
Dual Admissions
Under this Agreement, RACC students will be guaranteed admission with third year (junior) status at lmmaculata on the condition that they:
- Earn a high school diploma or its equivalent prior to attending lmmaculata
- Submit a Dual Admissions Intent Form before completion of no more than 45 college level credits from all colleges/universities attended
- Graduate from RACC with an appropriate Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree, or Associate in General Studies (A.G.S) Degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for Accelerated Baccalaureate and Online Programs (through Adult Education Admissions) and 2.5 for Traditional/Residential Baccalaureate Programs. (Please see Appendix A for a list of approved programs of study included in this Agreement)
- Complete lmmaculata's admissions application ideally once 45 credits have been earned at RACC, or at least three months prior to the start of the semester in which they plan to begin their studies at lmmaculata, and satisfy all other regular lmmaculata admissions requirements
- Not attend another institution of higher education between the time they graduate from RACC and enroll at lmmaculata
- Enroll at lmmaculata within one year of RACC graduation
Students who have previously matriculated to lmmaculata are not eligible for Dual Admissions to lmmaculata but are encouraged to apply as a transfer or re-entry student at lmmaculata.
There is no obligation on the part of the Dual Admissions RACC student if they decide not to transfer to lmmaculata.
Once students submit their Dual Admissions Intent Form, they are strongly encouraged to meet with an lmmaculata Transfer Admissions Representative and/or a RACC Academic Advisor, Counselor, or Program Advisor to develop a course taking strategy to maximize course transferability.
RACC graduates entering lmmaculata under the terms of this Agreement go through the normal lmmaculata transfer admissions process and therefore must meet all applicable lmmaculata requirements and deadlines pertaining to application for admission, orientation, registration, and payment of tuition and fees. They will abide by the policies and procedures, and any revisions thereof that apply to all lmmaculata students.
