Mission Statement

The mission of the Student Government Association (SGA) of Reading Area Community College is to serve as the voice of the student body through active participation within the college community, specifically the Campus Life Committee. Additionally, SGA works to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students while always seeking ways to improve the relationship between the administration, faculty, staff and students. Civic engagement, civility, and personal responsibility for all students will be promoted through intentional programming throughout the year.

Join Us!

All RACC credit students, staff, and faculty are welcome at SGA meetings. If you want to become a Senator (voting member of SGA) the procedure is simple. The academic requirement is a minimum grade point average of 2.0. It is now mandatory to attend three consecutive meetings before deciding to petition for senatorship. The next year will be an exciting one for SGA and we want to make sure that every member has an opportunity to grow and learn from their experience. If you have any questions, please feel free to stop by the Raven's Nest in the Student Union Building Z-112.
