Veterans: Services
Thank you for your service and welcome to RACC!
Reading Area Community College is committed to supporting our Veteran and military family students.
As a Veteran, service member or qualified family member you may be eligible to receive GI Bill® or other Veterans Affairs (VA) educational benefits.
Before enrolling in courses at Reading Area Community College, you are strongly advised to consult your Educational Services Officer (ESO), military counselor, or Service branch representative to obtain approval for enrollment. This step is required before using Department of Defense Tuition Assistance or other military education benefits.
To assist with your enrollment and payment, RACC has 5 designated staff to assist with the VA process. Our Admissions Counselors will help with admissions and enrollment. The VA Certifying Officials will assist with seeking information on the TA program, Title IV funding, or VA education benefits and are familiar with institutional services to Service members who are seeking information about academic counseling, financial aid counseling, job search support, or other student support services at Reading Area Community College.
Veterans are able to utilize their VA benefits for credit and non-credit programs. Military service may qualify you for college credit. Provide your Joint Services Transcripts (JST) to the Admissions Office. For more information on how to access your JST, please click here.
To determine eligibility for benefits follow the steps of the Enrollment Checklist.
