Working Hours:
- 6pm – 9pm Tuesday and Thursday
- Fall Session and Spring Session
Summary:
Instruct classes developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to prepare students for the DEP Operator Certification Exam.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep record of class attendance
- Prepare materials for each class
- Conduct field trips to various Wastewater sites as required
- Provide a positive learning experience for students
- Provide additional help if a student is struggling
- Administer quizzes required for each module
- Communicate class progress to Workforce Project Manager

Education and/or Experience:
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- DEP Wastewater General Certification
- 3 year’s experience in the Wastewater Treatment Field
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet skills. Knowledge of Ellucian Colleague or other administrative software a plus.
Communication Skills:
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
