Position Overview Centro Hispano is seeking a creative, organized, and community-minded Digital Engagement & Storytelling Work-Study to support storytelling and digital engagement across our programs. This intern will serve as a liaison between Centro Hispano and marketing agency partners, helping to gather and share meaningful stories, photos, and videos that highlight the people and impact behind our work. The ideal candidate will be a college student majoring in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field who enjoys working with people, capturing authentic moments, and bringing community stories to life. Key Responsibilities ● Attend Centro Hispano programs, community events, and special initiatives to capture photos, short videos & interviews for use on social media and other marketing channels. ● Gather and organize content from various departments and partners for marketing purposes. ● Write short captions, testimonials, and story summaries for posts, newsletters, and web content. ● Collaborate with partners to share content, coordinate publishing schedules, and maintain brand consistency. ● Assist with social media posting, engagement tracking, and community outreach efforts. ● Maintain a digital library of photos, videos, and other creative assets. ● Support event promotion and documentation, including live social media updates and post-event recaps. Qualifications ● Current RACC student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field. ● Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. ● Excellent written and verbal communication abilities ● Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.) ● Basic photo & video skills (smartphone acceptable; video editing experience a plus). ● Interest in community engagement, storytelling, and nonprofit work. ● Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency strongly preferred but not required. Learning Outcomes The Marketing Intern will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, digital storytelling, community engagement, and partnership-based marketing collaboration. They will build a portfolio of creative content while helping advance Centro Hispano’s mission and visibility.
