STTC: Wellness and Emotional Mastery

This is for anyone who is a people leader who is looking to enhance their leadership skills through the lens of their own personal well-being and the well-being they can bring to their employees. This course will teach a human first approach, meaning we are humans before employees and it is for anyone who believes fostering a culture of well-being is important.

Introduction to Wellness, Emotional Intelligence & Self-Awarness

Objective: Understand the connection between wellness, emotional intelligence, and leadership effectiveness.

Activities:

  • Group discussion on personal experiences with wellness and leadership.
  • Overview of emotional intelligence (EQ) components.
  • Personal Wellness Assessment

Stress Management Techniques

Objective: Learn strategies to manage stress effectively.

Activities:

  • Stress management techniques (e.g., breathing exercises, time management).
  • Role-playing scenarios to practice responses to stressful situations.
  • Creating a personal stress management and resilience plan

Building Empathy and Connection

Objective: Enhance empathy skills to foster stronger team relationships.

Activities:

  • Empathy exercises: Active listening and perspective-taking activities.
  • Group discussions on the importance of empathy in leadership.
  • Commitment to implementing one wellness initiative within the team

After completing multiple degrees at Kutztown University, he returned to RACC, where he now serves as Accessibility Services Coordinator—helping students follow the same path that once shaped his own success.
