Canvas Instructor Training
For any instructor new to RACC or new to Canvas, Introductory Training is required. The training is an online, self-paced course delivered in Canvas. Instructors are required to complete this course before they can begin teaching. Once the course is completed, the instructor is required to meet with an instructional designer to complete the training. To access the training course, please follow these steps:
- Log into the myRACC portal and click on Canvas.
- Once in Canvas, click on Courses in the gray bar on the left, then click All Courses from the list.
- Click on the Browse More Courses button at the top of the page.
- Click the Join this Course button in the box titled "Canvas Instructor Training."
Learning Technology Workshops and Professional Development
These workshops on specific topics and functions of Canvas will give a more in-depth explanation of specific tasks or tools, as well as offer suggestions for best practices. Sessions will run between one and two hours, depending on the content presented. These workshops are demonstration oriented and do not require the participant to work within Canvas while attending. These workshops may be delivered in-person or online via web-conference. View the registration link below for detailed information. Advance registration is required. Sessions with fewer than two registered participants the day before the scheduled session will be canceled.
