Working Hours:
Working hours will be flexible 3 or 4 days a week may include 1 evening (night will depend on PM ECE schedule). The ECE coordinator and the ECE Pathway Coordinator will agree on specific work hours for each semester, semester breaks, and holiday breaks. The ECE Pathway coordinator is able to work a total of 15 hours per week.
Summary:
The ECE Pathway Coordinator will provide support to students in navigating the various entry points to the ECE program including CTC Teacher Academy, and workforce students. In addition, this position will be the contact for early childhood employers utilizing the ECE pathway for their staff. The position includes developing and managing the systems required for the workforce to college pathway.
Essential Duties (partial list):
- Meet with Early Childhood Education coordinator/associate Dean of Social Science weekly to report activities with employers, CTC faculty, and partners
- Serve as point of contact for ECE employers
- Coordinate and document the On the Job (OTC) tasks
- Assist in the creation and submission of program reports to grant agencies
- Plan/organize meetings with students, employers and partner agencies
- Submit a weekly report to Coordinator of Early Childhood Education (ECE), identifying students, employers, and partners met with and supports provided
- Other related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Associate Degree or BS/BA and experience in planning, outreach and administrative support. Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
Computer Skills:
To perform successfully, an individual must be able to use word processing programs, excel spread sheets, learning management systems, online applications and e-mail.
Other Skills and Abilities:
To perform successfully, an individual must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. In addition, the individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish working rapport with faculty, students and community partners.
Communication Skills:
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations.
