Working Hours:
Working hours for this position consist of 5 hours per day three days a week (between the hours of 7:30 am and 8:00 pm) these hours to be agreed upon between the supervisor and employee at the start of employment.
Note: This position may require evening or weekend work on occasion. The employee and supervisor will agree in advance on each such occasion how that weekly schedule will be altered. This position requires working on-site when campus re-opens. In the interim, this is a remote position requiring individual to telework.
Summary:
The Community Education-Literacy Programs Learning2Work Coordinator has the primary responsibility of working with students and teachers to assist with registration, testing, and appropriate placement of students; to maintain student records with confidentiality; and to support the Adult Education Literacy Program by implementing best practices set forth in the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain class and student records for the College and PDE with confidentiality.
- Assist with student registration.
- Provide placement testing, class placements, and orientation for program participants.
- Ensure that all guidelines are met for students with special needs.
- Review and analyze E-data reports to monitor student program progress in accordance with the National Reporting Standards (NRS).
- Coordinate program teacher meetings.
- Attend training for TABE, CASAS, E-data, and or any other Adult Education training and professional development as indicated by PDE guidelines.
- Participate in the implementation of retention strategies and reporting.
- Create documents in accordance with RACC’s policies regarding medical assistance and disciplinary situations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, or Human Service-related field.
- Experience working with individuals with diverse literacy needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Demonstrated ability to research data and develop reports.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
