JANUARY 2009 AT THE MILLER CENTER
Looking for a fun way to start out the new year? Place the Miller Center at the top of your list of resolutions by attending one of the following terrific events.

Enchantment Theatre Company’s presentation of The Velveteen Rabbit on Saturday, January 10, is a children’s classic by Margery Williams. The production blends beautiful imagery with life-size puppets and an original score. For this event, the Miller Center is partnering with Borders Books of Wyomissing and Spring Township Library for special story-time readings of The Velveteen Rabbit, ticket raffles and other special promotions on the following dates:

Bearfoot will be appearing at the Miller Center on Friday, January 16 at 8PM. Come see why this group is considered one of the newest sensations on the Blue Grass scene! Their youth and energy is infectious and fun for the whole family.

Barack Obama will be sworn in as the Nation’s 44th president and our country’s first president of color on Tuesday, January 20. Celebrate this momentous occasion at RACC with live coverage of the event on the Miller Center’s wide screen from 11AM to 1PM. This is a FREE event and sandwiches and beverages will be available for purchase in the lobby prior to the swearing-in ceremony. No reservations required!

Special Benefit Concert

RACC Opportunity Club Gospel Extravaganza
February 21, 2009 (Saturday) - 2:00pm & 7:00pm
A gospel music concert that benefits the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life which raises funds to promote awareness, research and services in the the quest for a cure for cancer. The concert will feature an adult gospel choir, praise dancers, youth mass choir, gospel rap as well as a spoken word artist.
