How to find Business Information

If you need to find business information in The Yocum Library, try the following sources:

Standard and Poor's Register of Corporations, Directors, and Executives REF/HG4057.A4

Corporations - alphabetical listing of over 50,000 corporations which provides names, addresses, officers, subsidiaries, and statistics.

Directors and Executives - listing of about 70,000 officers which provides biographical information. Provides more information than Standard & Poor's Register, but for fewer companies.

Handbook of World Business REF?HF5030.H66

Harris Pennsylvania Industrial Directory - Arranged by county, it provides information on over 19,000 Pennsylvania manufacturers, importers, R & D Labs, testing labs, and sheltered workshops. REF/HC107.P4/A28

Browse in the PQ, PR, and PS sections of the Reference Collection to see other sets such as Standard Industrial Classification Manual REF/HF1042.S73

The U.S. manual containing the official definitions of the SIC types of businesses and the 4 digit code.

Business Plans Handbook - A compilation of actual business plans developed by small businesses. Also includes: a Business Plan template: a listing of organizations, agencies and consultant of interest to entrepreneurs; a glossary of Small Business terms. REF/HD62.7B865

Thomas Register of American Manufacturers - A comprehensive source which tells you who manufactures what although it does not list every company. Includes a special section (the yellow pages) AAmerican Trade Mark Index which tells you which company makes which brand-name product. REF/T12.T6
