Esteemed Friend,
Herewith are two Copies of aMemorial agreed to by the
Pennsylvannia Society for promoting the aboli-
tion of slavery, [et cetera?] at the special Meeting
the 3rd Inst. and I have it in charge to request
the President to sign and forward them [at?]
the first Post under Cover; one of them to
the President of the Senate and the other to the
Speaker of the House of Representives of
the United States, with a few lines desiring
the Favor to each to embrace the earliest and
the most suitable opportunity, to present the
Memorial to the House in which he presides;
and if Directions can be given to have it pub-
lished at largeon their Minutes, it will be
most agreable to the Memorialists,
