- A placement test series is required of all students before they register for any credit courses.
- The placement test measures levels of reading comprehension, writing ability and math knowledge. The results are used to direct students to the correct academic
starting point in the areas of reading, writing and math. - Placement test results are not used as a basis for admission to the college.
- The tests are computerized and are administered in B117.
- To schedule a time to take the test call 610-607-6224.
- Appointments are available Monday through Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 8:30 - 2:00.
- Please note that all placement tests are by appointment.
- Students should allow three hours on campus to complete the tests.
- Students must have submitted their applications and paid the application fees before scheduling their appointments
- A waiver for a test will be made for students who have completed a freshman English/writing/mathematics course(s) at an accredited institution with a grade of C or above. An official or student copy of their transcripts will act as proof of their meeting these criteria.
- If students need to schedule individualized testing due to a physical or learning disability, they should email or call the learning specialist at 610-607-6245. They should bring documentation of their disability to their appointments.
- Students should note that specific programs of study do have additional criteria that must be met prior to acceptance into major core requirement courses.
