ACT 101 Services

Counseling

Professional counseling services are available to assist Act 101 students with any personal, career, or academic concerns or questions they have. All counseling services are confidential and free.

Academic advising

Act 101 counselors can assist students with academic planning and can answer questions regarding course selection and curriculum requirements.

Tutoring

Tutoring services are provided by trained professional and peer tutors. If they need them, Act 101 students can request individualized tutoring services free of charge.

Free courses

Upon successful completion of ORI100 College Success Strategies, a one credit class required of all students at RACC, Act 101 students will be reimbursed for the tuition of the course. Additionally, Act 101 students may register for CAR103 Career Decision Making free during the Summer Sessions.

Cultural trips

ACT101 offers a variety of cultural experiences for students such as to hear notable speakers, visit museums, or see plays. Act 101 students also enjoy a discounted rate on all Student Government Association (SGA) hosted trips.

Conferences

Each year, Act 101 sponsors four students to represent RACC at a statewide Act 101 conference.
