Adaptive Technology

RACC has acquired adaptive technology for use by students with disabilities. Kym Kleinsmith is available to train students in use of the technology to support student success.

Examples of adaptive technology that are available for use by students with disabilities at RACC may include:

  • Text enlarging tools, including full page magnifier, CCTV and Zoomtext
  • Textbooks on audio disk and disk players
  • Kurzweil 3000 text-to-speech software
  • Kurzweil 1000 text-to-speech software
  • Inspiration visual mapping software
  • Dragon Naturally Speaking speech-to-text software
  • FM listening systems
  • Rollerball mouse
  • One-handed keyboards (R or L)
