The Multicultural/International Club is a club open to all students attending Reading Area Community College.
The M/I Club’s mission is to welcome and celebrate the culture of all individuals on the RACC campus and beyond. In addition, through education of the entire RACC community, the club will promote respect and cultural competency/proficiency of all individuals.
What We Do:
- Help new international students in adjusting to a different environment
- Host the Multicultural/International Festival
- Bus Trips
- Host Guest Speakers
- Foster connections between students
- Community Service
- Visit nearby attractions
General club meetings will be held the second and fourth Fridays at 1 p.m. in the Raven's Perch (Z100) except for March when the club will meet the first and third Fridays due to spring break. Meeting dates are: Jan. 31, Feb. 14 and 28, Mar. 7 and 21, and Apr. 11 and 25.
Friday, Feb. 21: In honor of Black History Month, the Multicultural/International Club will be touring the Central Pennsylvania African American Museum, located in the Old Bethel AME Church, 119 N. Tenth Street, Reading. Entry fee is $4 and we will meet there. All students, faculty and staff are invited! Please contact Dawn Gieringer at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
Wednesday, Mar. 26: The International Festival returns and will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students who are interested in performing a piece related to their culture should contact email@example.com.
