Concert Choir - The Reading Area Community College Concert Choir is designed for students, along with staff, faculty, and community members to enjoy the experience of singing quality music as a group for various events on and off campus including holiday concerts, winter graduation ceremonies, spring concerts, and spring graduation ceremonies.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE CLUB - The Criminal Justice Club is dedicated to giving back to the community as well as organizing activities geared toward different fields in the Criminal Justice curriculum. If you are majoring in Criminal Justice or just interested in finding out more, stop by a meeting and get involved.

Front Street Journal - The Front Street Journal is the student newspaper of Reading Area Community College. Its mission is to provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas and information among all members of the college community. In addition to the editorial staff opportunities, FSJ is always looking for reporters as well as a marketing/business manager.

Student Nurses Association at RACC - The RACC chapter of SNAP promotes the professional development and personal growth of RACC’s nursing students. Its purpose coincides with those of the national and state student nurse organizations.  Chapter activities include: meetings which may feature a guest speaker as well as discussion of pertinent business, community service projects, and opportunities for leadership development, networking and friendship. All Professional Nursing Students are members.

Health Professions Club - Designed for students in a health-related curriculum such as Registered Nursing, Practical Nursing, Respiratory Care, Medical Laboratory Technician, this club sponsors "Health Link" in the Student Union Building for students and staff. Members of the club participate in the annual Health Fair at RACC. Health issues and information is available through literature and events sponsored by the Health Professions Club.

International Student Club - The International Students Club is open to any student who is attending Reading Area Community College, not exclusively international students. The club promotes diversity on campus and an awareness of other cultures and ethnicity. The club also helps new international students in adjusting to college life, a new language, and a new country. The club plans events such as the International fall festival and activities including visiting nearby attractions and museums.

Legacy - Legacy is an annual journal written, edited, and published entirely by students of Reading Area Community College. Legacy publishes well-written, researched papers representative of the college?s diverse student body and curriculum. Opportunities exist for students interested in writing, editing, graphic design, illustration, photography, public relations, and finance. Currently enrolled students are welcome to join Legacy to share their skills or to learn new ones

PHI THETA KAPPA HONOR SOCIETY (ALPHA SIGMA RHO CHAPTER) - Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year colleges, is foremost a recognition of academic achievement. The local chapter also provides members with many opportunities for scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship as an active club on campus. Membership can be beneficial in terms of a variety of scholarships, at the two-year school as well as future four-year colleges. Currently enrolled students are invited to join when they have completed at least twelve hours of associate degree coursework at RACC with a grade point average of 3.60 or higher.

Student Activities Board - This board was created to allow members from all clubs and organizations on campus plan and implement activities on and off campus throughout the school year. This board is comprised of one elected member from each sanctioned club/organization on campus. Activities planned for the 06-07 school year include the annual International Festival in October, games night with the residents of the Children's Home of Reading in January, Relay for Life of Reading in April, Spring Fling in May, the fourth annual talent show, RACC Idol, and Celebration of the Arts in June. Students who are not members of the board are encouraged to join subcommittees that plan our events.

Student Education Association - This club has expanded to include all education majors, but is not limited by your major. Activities include Quest for Quality conference and "Celebrate Children" as well as other events/ activities designed for interaction between the students and outside agencies. Many networking opportunities are available through membership in this club.

Student Government Association - The Student Government Association (SGA) of Reading Area Community College consists of a diverse group of students who are the voice of the student body. SGA works hard to ensure that your concerns and interests about campus life are met. Advocacy and campus life improvement are the main focus of SGA. All students with a minimum GPA of 2.0 are eligible to petition to become a senator of SGA after attending three consecutive meetings and completing a petition signed by twenty (20) currently enrolled RACC students & obtaining a letter of recommendation from staff or faculty at RACC. All students, staff, and faculty are welcome to attend an SGA meeting and voice their concerns or suggestions. Only members of SGA will be able to vote on the issues raised.
In 2005-06, SGA started its signature program “Discount Card Program” by teaming up with local businesses to provide discounts to RACC students, staff, and faculty. Check out the website ( www.racc.edu ) for current participating businesses as the program grows. Get your discount card from any SGA member in SUB 112.
