Manage your time!

In order to succeed in an online course, you must keep up-to-date with all assignments and tests. It is so easy to fall behind in an online class; once you fall behind, it will be extremely stressful to try to catch up. If you do fall behind, contact your instructor at once. Understand the course requirements

Make sure you comprehend the course syllabus and other materials. Identify the course objectives and due dates for all your assignments. If you have any questions, contact your instructor.

Know the technical requirements

You will only be successful in your course if you can access your course! Make sure your computer is equipped with all the technical requirements you will need for your course. For Canvas requirements, video tutorials, and guides, please go to the Canvas page.

Acquaint yourself with your online classroom

After you've registered, you can take the Canvas Orientation course to familiarize yourself with how Canvas works. The course is a self-paced, online course that should only take about 30 minutes to complete. For more information, check the Canvas Student Resources page.
