The Miller Center for the Arts is a fabulous performing arts center but it’s so much more. In addition to presenting outstanding performances from around the world, it’s also a resource for Reading Area Community College (RACC) at-large, offering a venue for academic courses, student-organized events, and faculty/staff seminars.

This fall, RACC’s Student Government Association brings MTV’s Rock the Vote Tour with Rachel Robinson to the Miller Center and the Student Activities Board presents the passionate slam poetry of Joaquin Zihuatanejo.

Community groups using the facility over the coming months include the financial firm Morgan Stanley for a seminar and reception, Reading Youth Symphony Orchestra for a master class and rehearsal, Berks Ballet in a weekend of performances, and the venerable Reading Pops Orchestra in a Beatles tribute concert.

Concessions will be offered at select performances for theater-goers looking to sip a beverage or satiate a sweet tooth during intermission, and patrons can view upcoming performances from the new monitor located in the lobby. It’s a great opportunity to purchase tickets for an upcoming show before leaving for home!
