Instructional Media and Design Goals

Provide group instruction
Each term the IMD will provide workshops, classes and seminars to help the faculty and staff learn new skills and concepts so that they may better support student learning. Classes will include computer software applications, instructional media development, electronic communication skills and teaching methods. RACC’s faculty and staff as well as regional and national consultants may teach the classes and workshops. While most of the sessions will be conducted in the IMD, these facilitators may conduct sessions elsewhere on campus.

Provide individual consultations
The IMD can provide assistance to faculty in interpreting their course evaluations or in developing strategies to improve student learning. Resources, mentors, and information will be provided. All consultations will be confidential.

Offer instructional technology tutorials
The IMD will provide tutorials for faculty and staff who need help with academic computer applications and technology.
