This challenging course is taught over an 8 week period for better retention and skill competency (16 hours of lecture, 16 hours of practical training). The National Exam is held on the 9th week and students who pass both exams are eligible for the 30 hour internship that is required for certification and networks many graduates right into their first job in the fitness field. The course prepares you for success with coverage of key topics including biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, and equipment usage and health assessment. World Instructors Training Schools (W.I.T.S.) is the only major certifying body in the country providing comprehensive practical training and internship components. CPR/AED certification is required, and is available through RACC, in order to receive the W.I.T.S. Personal Trainer Certification.

This program has a tuition of $775. Cost of textbook: $95.75.
