Nurse

Courses, workshops and conferences are provided to meet the educational needs of the health care community. Programs deal with a variety of topics such as current trends and issues, clinical updates, safety, legal and ethical issues. Programs are varied and are provided for any individual employed in health care.

Online Courses for Healthcare Professionals

Reading Area Community College presents Online Courses for Healthcare Professionals. With over 600 courses, training is available in areas ranging from disease states, to clinical practices to patient care topics. All courses are available online 24 hours a day which allow you to take the course at your own convenience. The courses use audio and video media to ensure a quality experience along with a great education. Support includes, annual CE requirements, clinical competency initiatives, RN, SW, and RT certifications. Contact hours are provided by HealthStream, accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Accreditation & Continuing Education

Reading Area Community College is an approved provider (May 2010) of continuing nursing education by the PA Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Commission on Accreditation.

Depending on the topic and course content we may also provide continuing education credits such as:

  • ACT 48 credits

  • Counseling
