Reading Area Community College offers two types of English for Speakers of Other Languages programs.
There are credit-bearing courses available to multilingual students to help them improve their English skills to a level required for college-level courses. This ESL program will provide a support system to students during their journey toward an academic degree. For more information on these courses, please contact Dr. Elena Lawrick at 610-372-4721, ext. 5094.
Secondly, the community education division of the College offers speaking, reading and writing skills to non-English speaking adults. Classes are offered at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels. These classes are free. For more information on these classes, please call Yrene Rodriguez, Community Education secretary, at 610-372-4721, ext. 6227 or submit your information on the ABE/GED/ESL form.
Community Education also offers other classes, including Adult Basic Education and GED classes and testing.
