RACC has developed three new programs in the growing, high-demand field of renewable energy.

As part of each program, a personal career coach will work with you to stay focused through your coursework and assist you in your job search.

Students in these programs may be eligible for financial aid, including TAA, WIA, Veteran’s Benefits, grants, scholarships and employer TAPs.

Production Technician

Learn: Technical Math, Blueprint Reading, Mechanical and Electrical Fabrication, Production Assembly, Welding, Safety Practices & Regulations, Personal Protective Equipment, Communication Skills, Conflict Resolution and Teamwork

Length of Program: 8 weeks

At the completion of this program, you will be eligible to pursue a job as an electrical or electronic equipment assembler or continue to build upon your credentials in the Building Analyst, Solar PV or Thermal training programs.

Building Analyst

Learn: Environmental Applications, Building Heat Gain and Loss, Thermal Heat Pump Systems

Length of Program: 3 weeks

At the completion of this program, you will be able to perform energy audits on residential and commercial buildings and sit for the BPI Certification Exam for building analysts.

Solar Photo Voltaic and Thermal Installer

Learn: Solar PV Installation and Troubleshooting, Solar Thermal Installation and Troubleshooting

Length of Program:  6 weeks

At the completion of this program, you will be able to install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair renewable energy equipment and sit for the NABCEP Solar PV and Solar Thermal Certification exams.
