RACC offers several options for students interested in a career in nursing, including an associate degree in Nursing, a Practical Nurse certificate program and a CNA, Nurse Aide program.
The Associate Degree Nursing Program is a 70-credit curriculum where you will earn an Associate in Applied Science degree and be eligible to sit for the state licensure examination to become a registered nurse. Practical Nursing is a 12-month program consisting of 48 credits that may only be pursued on a full-time basis. Upon successful completion, you are eligible to take the license exam to become a practical nurse. View these step-by-step directions for admission to the Practical Nurse program.
The CNA, Nurse Aide career training program allows you to earn a certificate in as little as six months. This program can be pursued on a full-time or part-time basis and consists of between 128 and 165 hours. At the end of the program you are eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania State Competency Exam.
