Honors Program Options

Taking Individual Honors Course
Students can enroll in one or more individual honors courses according to their personal, professional, or academic interests. Honors seminars, often with an interdisciplinary focus, and honors sections of general education courses are available.

Working toward an Honors Certificate/Diploma
Students who complete 15 honors credits with an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher and a 3.0 or higher in all honors courses will earn an Honors Certificate. When they graduate from RACC, these students will receive an Honors Diploma.

Applying for the Honors Certificate or the Honors Diploma

Students who complete 15 honors credits with an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher and a 3.0 or higher in all honors courses will earn an Honors Certificate. When they graduate from RACC, these students will receive an Honors Diploma.

Honors Certificates will be presented at the spring Academic Awards event. Honors Diplomas and a medallion will be presented at the graduation ceremony.

It is the student’s responsibility to apply for both the Honors Certificate and the Honors Diploma during the Spring Semester, by the end of the sixth week of Spring Semester.
