ANGEL Training
ANGEL training using the ANGEL Learning Management System (LMS) is available for both full-time and part-time RACC faculty and staff. Depending on the instructor’s goals, there are two hands-on training level modules as well as an online workshop available.
What training module should I take?
- If your goal is to web-enhance your courses using ANGEL, you are required to take the two Introductory level hands-on module sessions. Although it is not required, you can also take the Intermediate level module to further enhance your ANGEL skills.
- If your goal is to teach a hybrid or an online course using ANGEL, you are required to take the four Intermediate level hands-on training module sessions and the Online Workshop.
- Act-48 credit is available for the hands-on training sessions. One credit per hour of attendance.
Introductory Level
The Introductory Level hands-on module, also known as ANGEL Lite, consists of two hands-on sessions on weekdays or one session on Saturdays (3 hours long). It covers two topics in the following sequence:
- Introduction (1.5 hours)
- Adding content (1.5 hours)
Intermediate Level
The Intermediate Level hands-on module consists of four hands-on training sessions on weekdays and two Saturday (3 hour long) sessions. It covers four topics in the following sequence:
- Introduction (1.5 hours)
- Assessments (1.5 hours)
- The Gradebook (1.5 hours)
- The Manage Tab functions (1.5 hours)
The Online Workshop
The Online Workshop is an eight week long session in which the trainees participate as students, learn about online practices, and experience an ANGEL course. Participants learn about Quality Matters practices, have access to tutorials, and also have access to two Online sample courses developed by our RACC faculty.
How do I register?
Look at the Faculty and Staff Training Calendar, select the module and the session dates that best fit your schedule. Email them to library@racc.edu. When you select the training session, make sure to follow the sequence for the selected training module.
Where are these training sessions held?
All ANGEL training hands-on sessions and other training opportunities are held on room P123 on the first floor of the Penn Hall building.
